Music Magic

Dave Irving is a versatile musician and composer; while his formal musical education is strongly rooted in the classical tradition, he graduated from Boston’s Berklee College of Music with a diploma in Jazz Composition. He also studied at Banff , York and Ottawa Universities.

David has taught music at Carleton University and for 8 years he was music director at Philemon Wright High School. at the present he teaches privately in his own studio equipped with digital recording equipment. Besides teaching, his music includes songwriting and theme music for CBC Radio programs and numerous broadcasts. and for the last 12 years he has been the organist and choir director at Christ church in Aylmer, He performs regularly for numerous functions with his classical and jazz trios and is a renowned solo pianist. Dave is also an experienced piano tuner.
